Whether an aspect counts depends on how wide an orb you allow, and sources disagree — so the set used here is printed. Orbs widen when the Sun or Moon is involved, as most texts allow.

• The smaller the orb, the tighter the aspect. Contacts within one degree are conventionally read as the most pronounced, and the table marks them.
• House overlays need a birth time: without one there is no Ascendant and no houses. The page says which side was missing a time.
• Houses are whole-sign, as on this site's natal chart; other house systems place planets in different houses.

Compute a single chart first

Does synastry say whether two people are compatible?

This page does not make that call. It reports which angular contacts exist between the two charts; reading those as compatible or incompatible is a separate step, and schools differ widely on it. Most of what determines a relationship is not in the charts.

Why is there no match percentage?

A percentage needs a weighting for each aspect, and no such weighting has a checkable basis — change the book and the numbers change. The page keeps to quantities that can be re-derived: the separation and its distance from exact.

What if I don't know the other person's birth time?

It still works: the Sun and planets move little in a day and are taken at local noon; the Moon moves about 13° a day, so its contacts are approximate; the Ascendant and houses are not computed at all. The page flags which side lacked a time.

How is this different from BaZi compatibility?

They compare different things: synastry measures angles on the ecliptic, while BaZi compatibility compares the stems and branches of two four-pillar charts. This site has both, and the methods are independent. BaZi compatibility
