How It Works

The Sun returns to its natal position around your birthday each year (a day or two off, due to precession and time zones). The sky at that moment is read as the energy map "setting the tone" for your year. It does not replace the natal chart — it is an "annual filter" laid over it.

What to Read

• Which house the Sun occupies in the return chart: the single most important indicator, showing the year's focal area (10th = a career year, 7th = a relationship year).
• The return chart's Rising sign: the overall tone of how you present and meet the world this year.
• Prominent planets and aspects: planets on the angles or in tight aspect are the year's leads.
• Compared to the natal chart: which natal house the return's planets fall into shows which facet of your life is stirred this year.
