夫命以年为本为父月为兄弟僚友日为主为妻为己身时为子孙为帝座为平生荣辱之主首又曰年为根月为苗日为花时为实故苗无根不生实无花不结所以遁月从年遁时从日遁月即甲巳之年正月起丙寅二月丁卯顺行十二月
古歌曰 甲巳之年丙作首 乙庚之岁戊为头丙辛之岁寻庚上 丁壬壬位顺行流更有戊癸何处起 甲寅之上好追求
遁时如甲子日子时生人即甲巳还加甲便知子时乃甲子丑时乃乙丑顺行十二时
古歌曰 甲巳还加甲 乙庚丙作初 丙辛从戊起丁壬庚子居 戊癸何方发 壬子是直途
右起月时之法取天干合数隂阳之配也既取合数自生化数月则取生时则取尅假如甲巳化土火生上故月起丙寅水尅土故时起甲子月遁起寅人生于寅之义东作方兴之时也时遁起子天开于子之义一阳方生之也究而言之则皆相生而转循环无端焉葢上古厯元年甲子月甲子日甲子时甲子甲巳起甲子祖于此也有甲子则乙丑丙寅顺布十二宫阳生阳隂生隂相间一位同类为夫妇是起月之法不外起时之中矣
