Definition

Xue Ren (the Blood Blade) is an inauspicious [spirit-star](/bazi/glossary/shen-sha) signifying risk of bloodshed — a cue to mind injury, surgery, falls, and "blood-drawing" accidents. This site derives it from the **day stem**.

Derivation

Xue Ren is found by day stem against a branch (each stem has its own; this site uses the engine's consistent rule). The branch present carries it. With the [Yang Blade](/bazi/glossary/yang-ren) and [Flying Blade](/bazi/glossary/fei-ren), it belongs to the fierce "blade" class.
