假令年为本，带官星印綬，则早年有官出自祖宗。
月为提纲，带官星印綬，则慷慨聪明、见识高人。
时为辅佐，平生操履。
若年月日有吉神，则时归生旺之处；若凶神，则要归时制伏之乡。
时上吉凶神，则年月日吉者生之，凶者制之。
假令月令有用神，得父母力。
年有用神，得祖宗力；时有用神，得子孙力；反此则不得力。
论太岁吉凶 太岁乃年中天子，故不可犯，犯之则凶。经云：『日犯岁君，灾殃必重；五行有救，其年反必招财。』
且如甲日见戊年，太岁是也，剋重者死。甲乙若寅卯亥未日时者，犯剋岁君，决死无疑；有救则吉，乃八字庚辛巳酉丑金局也，经云：『戊己愁逢甲乙，干头须要庚辛』；或丙丁火局焚木，有灾勿咎，效此推之；或得己合甲亦解之。
大抵太岁不可伤之，相生者吉；乃五行有救，其年反必为财。
犯岁君者，其年必主凶丧、剋妻妾及破财是非、犯上之悔；加以勾绞、空亡、咸池、宅墓、病符、死符、白虎、阳刃诸杀併临，祸患百出。神煞加临，轻重推之。
日干虽不剋岁，犹恐运剋岁君，若加岁运冲刑、阳刃冲合，主破耗丧事；倘有贵人、禄马，解之稍吉，八字有救无虞。
故云：『太岁乃众杀之主，入命未必为灾；若遇战斗之乡，必主刑于本命。』
