上元甲子正月中宫起八白葢年前之十一月甲子起一白十二月起九紫故本年正月起八白也三年而一周葢三年三十有六月以月数十二与宫数之九俱可以度尽也故以子午卯酉年为上元正月起八白辰戌丑未年为中元正月起五黄寅申己亥年为下元正月起二黑亦以其所直星入中宫顺行九宫与年九星同
