旧书从各支起长生、沐浴、冠带、临官、帝旺、衰、病、死、墓、绝、胎、养十二位有阳生阴死，阴生阳死之异焉。
《寸金签》云：印绶不喜临官，帝旺逢之亦不欢。
顺以循环干犹木之干也干强为阳支犹木之枝也枝弱为隂十干之禄寄于十二支中阳道顺行隂道逆运阳禄自生而顺数隂禄自死而逆数皆遇本音临官以寓焉且如甲禄在寅甲日阳禄自亥长生中向阳而顺数至寅位临官也乙禄在夘乙日隂禄自午死气中背阳而逆数至夘为临官也此盖阳生则隂死隂生则阳死隂阳二气交媾万物由此以生也唯人物之最灵者也禀一
六辛人八月生是也，建禄临官，财印亦以六庚同论。
