Why No Chart Is Published
Basis for the birth year
The Jin Shu identifies Sima Yi as a man of Xiaojingli in Wen County, Henei. It records that he died in 251 at traditional age 73, from which the year 179 is inferred. It does not record a birth month or day. A Wen County government biography independently gives 179 and the same place. This page therefore displays only the year.
Why no chart is published
The current BaZi engine cannot compute 179. With no recorded month or day, this page also lacks a reliable exact chart input. It therefore publishes no Pillars, stems and branches, Day Master, pattern, strength, Ten Gods, auxiliary stars, luck cycles, or annual-cycle conclusions. It does not infer a chart from political or military events. For supported dates, use the free BaZi chart.
Confirmed biographical scope
The Jin Shu records Sima Yi's entry into office, campaigns against Meng Da and Gongsun Yuan, appointment as a regent in 239, the Gaopingling coup in 249, and his death in 251. These are recorded events, not inputs for chart inference.
Sources and limits
This page uses the Jin Shu's Annals of Emperor Xuan and the Wen County government biography. It publishes the inferred year but no exact birth date. Traditional BaZi is a symbolic interpretive framework and is not health, financial, or legal advice.
