Princess Diana — BaZi Chart Analysis

Born into the Spencer noble family and raised on the Sandringham estate, Diana grew up close to the British royal family. In 1981, while working as a nursery teacher’s assistant, she became engaged to Charles, then Prince of Wales. Their wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral made her Princess of Wales and one of the most watched women on earth.

The chart, as computed

These four columns are engine output. Two things about the method matter: the Month pillar is cut by solar term rather than by calendar month, and the Year pillar turns at 立春 rather than at New Year — both of which move a chart for anyone born near a boundary. The prose follows the chart.

• 六冲 · a direct clash — 丑 (Chou) / 未 (Wei), in the year and day branches. Opposition between two branches — the classic marker of a position that will not hold still.
• 六害 · a harm — 丑 (Chou) / 午 (Wu), in the year and month branches. A friction relation — attrition rather than collision.
• 六破 · a break — 未 (Wei) / 戌 (Xu), in the day and hour branches. A destabilising relation, weaker than a clash.
• 三刑 · a triple punishment — 丑 (Chou) / 戌 (Xu) / 未 (Wei), in the year and hour and day branches. A three-branch punishment relation, classically read as self-inflicted difficulty.

Reading it

The most contested chart in this cohort by a wide margin: six branch relations on four branches, including a San Xing triple punishment across Chou, Xu and Wei, a Chou–Wei clash, a Chou–Wu harm, a Wei–Xu break, and two Fire combinations. On a very weak Yi Wood day master in a Shi Shen structure, with Qi Sha on the year and Shang Guan on the hour. Classical practice reads a weak day master inside a triple punishment as a configuration of sustained external pressure with little structural shelter. Nothing here claims the chart caused anything; it is an unusually difficult configuration, stated as one.
