Why No Chart Is Published
The birth record supports only an approximate year
Shiji records Huo Qubing's military career and death in 117 BCE but no birth date. The Palace Museum uses the conventional span 140–117 BCE, while a Zhangye local-history record calls him a native of Hedong Pingyang and places his birth in Jianyuan year one, approximately 140 BCE. The stored astronomical year -139 represents civil 140 BCE; 1 January is internal sorting, not a birthday. Birth month, day, hour, and specific birthplace remain unknown.
Military history in the sources
Shiji and the Palace Museum identify Huo Qubing as a Western Han general and Marquis of Champion who took part in campaigns against the Xiongnu in the Hexi and Mobei regions and died in 117 BCE. This page limits itself to those source-bounded facts and does not expand them into character judgments.
Biography is not a substitute for a chart
The current BaZi engine does not support BCE years. This page therefore publishes no Pillars, stems and branches, Day Master, pattern, strength, useful element, Ten Gods, auxiliary stars, luck cycles, or annual-cycle conclusions. It does not infer character, health, lifespan, or a chart from military service, quotations, or an early death. Traditional BaZi is a symbolic interpretive framework and is not health, financial, or legal advice.
