Why No Chart Is Published
The histories give no birthday
The Sanguozhi biography identifies Guan Yu as Yunchang, originally Changsheng, from Jie in Hedong, but supplies no birth year, month, day, or hour. The Palace Museum likewise prints his life dates as unknown–220. About 160 and the sixth-month twenty-fourth day are later traditions rather than a recoverable birthday. This page displays about 160 only. Stored 24 June is an internal sorting value, and the hour remains unknown.
Biography bounded by the Sanguozhi and Palace Museum
The Sanguozhi records service with Liu Bei, capture and appointment under Cao Cao, the defeat of Yan Liang, return to Liu Bei, command in Jing, the Fan campaign, capture and death, and the posthumous title Zhuangmiao. The Palace Museum records the later development of Guan Gong and Guan Di worship. Fictionalized episodes are not used here.
Why no chart is published
The current BaZi engine does not support 160. This page therefore publishes no Pillars, stems and branches, Day Master, Kui Gang, pattern, strength, useful element, Ten Gods, auxiliary stars, luck cycles, or annual-cycle conclusions. It does not infer a chart from loyalty, warfare, later worship, or death. For supported dates, use the free BaZi chart.
