What Information Is Needed for Marriage Compatibility Reading
Deep Oracle Practitioner Desk · 2026-09-19 · 6 min read
For a structured marriage-compatibility assessment, the information gathered before the reading is not a formality. It determines whether the chart can even be set correctly. What one prepares for 合婚 therefore falls into two groups: the basic data needed to cast the two natal charts, and the clarifying details that prevent a clean-looking input from producing a wrong analysis.
双方各要提供哪几项
Each person being assessed should provide their Gregorian calendar birth date, place of birth, and birth time, together with the source of that birth time. The birth date alone is insufficient; the place matters for time correction, and the hour matters for the day pillar and sometimes the hour pillar in the 干支 framework.
The source of the birth time should be stated plainly: a birth certificate, a hospital record, a family note, a maternal recollection, or another channel. This is not asked out of curiosity. A time recorded on a birth certificate and a time remembered years later by a relative can differ in ways that shift the chart. The practitioner needs to know which type of evidence supports the stated time before deciding how firmly to treat it.
The place of birth should be given to the level of the city or county, not merely the province or country. This is because the longitude affects the conversion between standard clock time and local solar time. Two people born at the same clock hour in different parts of the same country can fall under different hour branches once that conversion is applied.
时辰不确定时怎么写
If the birth hour is uncertain, the right preparation is to state the plausible range in advance. For example, one might say that the family recalls the birth as being after dinner but before midnight, or that the hospital record says early morning without a clear hour. That range should be written down as it is. It should not be narrowed on the spot by choosing a single likely time simply to make the form complete.
When a range is given, the assessment can proceed by comparing the charts for the candidate hours, or by noting which parts of the reading remain stable across the range and which change. This is more honest than guessing. A guessed hour can produce a coherent-looking reading that is nonetheless built on the wrong day pillar, and the error may not be obvious until a later event contradicts the chart.
记录来源为什么要一并说明
The source notes matter because several common record problems can quietly distort the input. One should state whether the date may have been taken from a lunar calendar date and later converted, rather than originally recorded as a Gregorian date. An older family record may give a date by the lunar calendar, and if this is not flagged, it may be treated as a Gregorian date by mistake.
One should also state whether the place of birth observed daylight saving time on the relevant date. Many jurisdictions adopted summer time for certain years, and a birth recorded during a summer-time period will be one hour ahead of standard time. If this is not noted, the clock time may be corrected twice or not at all, and the hour branch can shift.
If the date on an official document conflicts with the date kept in family memory, that conflict should be mentioned rather than resolved by assumption. A birth certificate may carry a registration date rather than the birth date, or an older relative may insist on a different day. The practitioner can only weigh such discrepancies if they are disclosed. The point of stating these details is not to burden the client but to prevent a false confidence in the input.
合婚之前先想清楚的问题
Before the reading, it is more useful to reduce the list of questions than to expand it. A question list should be limited to no more than three categories. Each category should include a time window and the practical options currently on the table. For example, a question about housing should specify whether the decision concerns the next six months or the next three years, and whether the options are renting, buying, or staying in one partner’s family property. A question about children should specify whether the concern is timing, feasibility, or the division of responsibilities. A question about work should specify whether it involves relocation, a change of industry, or one partner reducing paid work.
The time window matters because a chart can be read differently for a short-term decision than for a long-term structural question. The practical options matter because a question such as “is the marriage good” is too broad to answer usefully; “should we move to city A in the next year or stay in city B” is concrete enough to tie to the charts.
Refining ten questions down to three is worth more than adding an eleventh. A long list scatters the reading. Three well-formed questions force the assessment to address what the couple is actually deciding, rather than producing general remarks about compatibility that the couple cannot act on. If the client cannot state a time window or cannot name the realistic options, that is itself a signal that the question is not yet ready to be asked.
合婚之后该留下什么记录
After the assessment, the conclusions should be recorded in three columns: chart basis, practical action, and review date.
The chart basis column records which pillars, stems, branches, or interactions led to the conclusion. It does not need to be a full technical derivation, but it should be specific enough that a later reviewer can see why a recommendation was made. For example, it might note that the concern about the coming year rests on a clash involving the day branch of one chart, or that the timing question turns on an annual stem combination.
The practical action column records what the couple is being advised to do or avoid within the stated time window. This keeps the output tied to decisions. A reading that ends only with a description of temperament has no practical action and should not be mistaken for a complete conclusion.
The review date column records when the matter should be revisited. A compatibility assessment is not a single verdict meant to stand unchanged for decades. Some conclusions apply to a one-year decision, some to a five-year structure, and some only to a specific event such as a wedding date or a move. Writing the review date makes it possible to check later whether the reading still matches the situation, and it prevents an old conclusion from being treated as a permanent prediction.
A paid consultation can provide a fuller analysis and more detailed questioning than a brief or informal reading. It can examine more layers of the two charts, weigh conflicting indicators more carefully, and spend more time refining the three questions. But it cannot buy a guarantee. No fee changes the fact that a reading is an interpretation of symbolic material, not a warranty about the marriage. The preparation described here supports a clearer interpretation; it does not turn the outcome into a certainty.
